Comments:  John Duval was chief winemaker at Penfolds until 2002, where he oversaw the making of the iconic Grange. He is now making wines under his own label, and this wine is a classic Rhone blend. The Grenache is from 50-60 year old vines, and the Mourvedre from old bush vines, the oldest being over 100 years old.

James Halliday: “Bright, but light, colour; a fragrant bouquet of red fruits is replicated on the light-to medium- bodied palate, backed by gossamer fine, savoury tannins.” Rating: 93/100
