Duval was chief winemaker at Penfolds until 2002, where he oversaw the
making of the iconic Grange. He is now making wines under his own label,
and this wine is a classic Rhone blend. The Grenache is from 50-60 year
old vines, and the Mourvedre from old bush vines, the oldest being over
100 years old.
James Halliday: “Bright, but light, colour; a fragrant bouquet of red fruits is replicated on the light-to medium- bodied palate, backed by gossamer fine, savoury tannins.” Rating: 93/100 |
