Comments: Only 1000 cases of this wine was made, which was also bottled using minimum flitration. It is crimson/garnet red in colour. Typical regional dusty, minty earthiness comes through on the nose. Fruit aromas of currants, blackberries and sweet cherries mixed in with some gentle rustic French oak. Lovely flavours of brambly forest fruits and stewed rhubarb well integrated with firm tannins and supportive oak. The shiraz provides the upfront spiciness and sweetness, with the cabernet coming through later giving a great extension with herbal tannins and very long finish.
