| Comments: | Martinborough's 2006 vintage
was excellent for merlot, the dominant component of this wine. Supporting
the blend are home-block Cabernet sauvignon and Hawke's Bay syrah. Lovely,
lifted blueberry fruit on the now, soft and broad on palate, it has a
sumptuous black-forest finish.
e-Robert Parker.com April 2008: The 2006 Celebre (92 points) is even better [than the 2005] with an intense nose of wild strawberry and wild mint infused with touches of dried orange peel, the palate medium-bodied with superb definition with notes of game, leather and spice leading towards a lush, savory-tinged finish. |
